About Me- serving Bridlington and the surrounding areas. Over the years I have had a great interest in Complementary Therapy, and I have experienced a variety of treatments. I grew to realise how effective the treatments are and how well they are working along side the medical profession. Through my experience I decided I wanted to study in this field and develop an understanding of skills and knowledge of how the body functions, looking for the causes of pain and disfunction and imbalances to help address these issues, promoting wellbeing and offering a better quality of life. I studied Anatomy and Physiology, Remedial / Sports Massage incorporating advance massage techniques at the "Sue Lincoln School Of Holistic Health". The course enabled me to do further advanced studies in Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial Release, with a well known international practitioner, Art Riggs. These studies helped improve my professional practice, with rewarding results, a gain of clientele and positive feedback, in which I received via testimonials. My independent research developed and through reading articles and books, I acknowledged that Active Isolated Stretching / Strengthening provides a dynamic flexibility system, creating movement with joints, ligaments, muscles and fascial planes, creating better flexibility and strength. Understanding how effective stretching can be, I attended a course instructed by a top international therapist, Marjorie Brooks, also from America, whose specialist skills I acknowledged to develop my professional practice. This, alongside massage, has effected, greatly improved results across my client-base. Currently alongside my practice I am now working with Bridlington Rugby Club treating players with sports injuries and creating a rehabilitation programme, both pre and post event.
